Siphoning Consciousness

from Skygazer by The Professor

/

lyrics

I'll spend my life to fill it up
Hunting forever that golden cup
Like a wizard with his mystic tomes
And years of wand'ring without a home

Mirror, mirror, on my inward eye
Reflecting what I can't deny
With silence my mentor and my friend
When all around me discovery ends

A crashing noise burning my ear
And draws my gaze from all light
I cannot see when I cannot hear
My mind is sucked away from me
By your prattling cursed entropy

I live among men I know not
And pity a soul who begs for rot
In his coward society he calls a home
Comfort in ignorance of his woe

A soul is sucked out through his eyes
While electrified hands mask all his cries
That beat aloud and call to arms
A thousand million minds forging their harm

A vacuum head confused for overflow
And weighs like water in an iron lung
You cannot breath when you do not think
